This new website represents more than just a fresh look; it marks an exciting new chapter for our organization and the natural lands we cherish. As you can see, and may have heard, our nature center’s name has changed to Trillium Nature Center.
We want to take a moment to gently clarify an important point: while our Nature Center is now called the Trillium Nature Center, the beautiful landscape you know and love remains the Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve.
We understand the profound connection folks have with the preserve and the cherished memories it holds. Our commitment to protecting this special place is unwavering. We also remain Buffalo Audubon, the birding organization so many of you support and believe in. The Trillium Nature Center is the official home of Buffalo Audubon.
While the name Beaver Meadow has guided us through our first century, our vision has expanded for the next. The Trillium, a native flower a that consistently pushes through the winter soil to bloom each spring, perfectly captures the spirit of our resilient reemergence, and symbolizes our growth, allowing us to create a welcoming and more inclusive destination for everyone who loves nature. We are reaffirming our commitment to conservation, education, and recreation, transforming our beloved preserve into a true destination for all.
