Programs & Events
Buffalo Audubon provides a wide variety of programs & events designed to connect people of all ages and backgrounds with the natural world.
Browse our offerings for the public, schools, little ones, organizations, and more!

public programs
From birding programs to educational hikes, there’s lots for everyone to enjoy at Buffalo Audubon!
Join us at one of our many public education programs, hosted at Trillium Nature Center or various sites across Western New York.

school programs
Are you looking for a nature experience for your class? We can help! We would love to have your students visit our Trillium Nature Center, or we can bring nature to you with in-school programming. Our Program Guide provides details on standard school programs and field trip logistics. Email Senior Naturalist Tom Kerr at tom@buffaloaudubon.org
for more information.

For little ones
Twice each month, and all year long, we offer special nature-themed programming just for toddlers, ages 2-4!
It includes a story time, craft, activity, and snack, and admission covers one adult and one child entry.

For Libraries, Organizations & Community Groups
We offer one-of-a-kind nature education and/or birding programs suited for libraries, clubs, youth organizations, and more! Our 2024 Community Programs Guide provides details on our unique programming, and our naturalists are flexible to create custom classes on your nature topic of choice. Contact Senior Naturalist Tom Kerr at tom@buffaloaudubon.org for more details.

Education animal Programs
These programs are always a hit, regardless of age or location! Veteran Naturalist Tom Kerr looks forward to introducing your group to Zelda (our beloved Eastern Screech-owl, placed with us by the SPCA); Snappy (you guessed it… our Snapping Turtle) and his turtle friends; or our snakes Aragorn (Eastern Kingsnake), Houdini (Black Rat Snake), and/or Cornbread (Corn Snake). Learn more below or email Tom at tom@buffaloaudubon.org
