Learn with us - Stay with us - Experience with us!
Buffalo Audubon Society provides a wide variety of programs designed to connect people of all ages and backgrounds with the natural world.
Live animal education programs
These programs are always a hit, regardless of age or location! Veteran Naturalist Tom Kerr looks forward to introducing your group to Zelda (our beloved Screech-owl placed with us by the SPCA); Snappy (you guessed it... our Snapping Turtle) and his turtle friends; or our snakes Aragorn (Eastern Kingsnake), Houdini (Black Rat Snake), and/or Cornbread (Corn Snake). More information is here, or you can email Tom at tom@buffaloaudubon.org
For educators, teachers, group leaders or participants, and bird lovers
Are you looking for a nature experience for your group? Or maybe you're in need of a custom-designed class on a special nature topic? We can help! Here is some information to start. Our 2024 Program Guide provides details on standard school offerings, or we can build a unique program to meet your needs. Email our Naturalist Shelby Green at shelby@buffaloaudubon.org for more information.
For libraries, companies, and community groups
We offer one-of-a-kind nature education and/or birding programs. Our 2024 Community Program Guide provides details on our unique programming. Contact Naturalist Tom Kerr at tom@buffaloaudubon.org for more details.
NOTE: A Certificate of Liability is required from each school or organization for all programs, with Buffalo Audubon Society listed as an additional insured. Please contact Kate Watson at kate@buffaloaudubon.org for more information.
For the general public
Join us at one of our many public education programs, hosted at Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve or various sites across Western New York. Check out our current offerings here
